I'm an MBA teaching myself Rails. I launched a blog to document my learning process and help other aspiring developers: www.coding-student.com. My first project is a Dental Patient Record Management System I'm making for my wife so she can ditch her paper-based forms.

Nice little run thru, thanks for posting. Is this something you plan on launching to production? How will you be handling security? Will patients be able to login and view their chart? 

I've been working on learning rails along with android dev for some medical projects, my background is in nursing and learning the ropes with the various coding environments has been challenging but rewarding. I really like the flexibility of rails and its adaptability to rapidly develop and deploy test solutions for feedback from stakeholders. Look forward to your next post!
