About the GSoC idea "Java ByteBuffer support for nio4r"

Hi Ruby,

I posted previously regarding the project "Cross-thread Fiber support". I also looked at the project ideas from JRuby. In the list the idea of "Java ByteBuffer support for nio4r" (https://github.com/jruby/jruby/wiki/Google-Summer-of-Code-2016#idea-java-bytebuffer-support-for-nio4r) took my attention. In the GSoC 2015 I worked with nio4r project and also I have worked with Java NIO and I have experience in Java. Therefore I am interested about the idea and have a good feeling about this project. I am really glad if I get the chance to do this implementation.

You sound like a great candidate, Upekshe! Either I or Tony (or someone else between us) would be your mentor for this.

My recommendations for your proposal:

* Include a week-by-week rough schedule of what you'll work on over the summer.

* Include a plan for the case where your project will finish early or take longer than the allowed GSoC period.

* Plan to chat with mentors at least a couple times each week and be prepared to treat GSoC as a full-time job.

Last few days I was busy with some exams. Now they are over. So, I would like re-asses the ideas I like. I like both the ideas 
1. Java byte buffer for nio4r (https://github.com/jruby/jruby/wiki/Google-Summer-of-Code-2016#idea-java-bytebuffer-support-for-nio4r)

2. Cross Fiber Support (https://github.com/rubygsoc/rubygsoc/wiki/Ideas-for-MRI-(Matz-Ruby-Interpreter)#cross-thread-fiber-support)

2nd idea I like the most since I like concurrent programming, recently I studied on concurrent programming and it seems more Challenging :D . But I have small idea about the architecture of the ruby fibers. I feel like the success of the project highly dependent on the underline architecture of fibers. Anyway, about the first idea, I feel like I'll be more comfortable with that. Anyway if I were to find a good description about the fibers to get a clear Idea, I would like to go with that. :)
