Does that mean that Ruby developers have less chances of finding a job?

I would have been really interested to see statistics of programming languages per Country. Does anybody have?

BTW, nobody has answered to my question about Greek companies using Ruby.

Ha certainly not.

If you look at the job market in the UK for example, Ruby devs are on high demand.

Also for remote jobs here you see a range of 62K to 115K USD ....not bad at all.

John,

1. When you say "here" .... did you send a link in your message? I cannot see that.
2. How do you know that Ruby devs are on high demand in UK? Is there any official report for that? How much more demanded they are compared to Java, for example?

Best
Panos

Java will always have more openings.

check

They report thousands of Ruby jobs for UK. Jobserve alone reports 4963 open (non remote) jobs for the UK alone

The tech has matured and companies are based on it.

Nice!

Anything for Greece guys? Which companies do they use Ruby?

John about "remote"....let's discuss that in person (the key difference here is "remote freelancer" or "remote employee").

A list of companies that are using Ruby in Greece was created in the past in the thread –  outdated

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/ruby-hellug/Hb3kUM_eaG4/q-SKNj0Ps_IJ

In any case it may happen that a company is using ruby only for specific apps – like logstash on a ELK stack , or for gitlab , or other devops tools – while is a pure Java or C# software house.
