Re: Request for assignment of a dedicated parking space.

Dear Members of the Board,

I am writing to respectfully request the assignment of a dedicated parking space for Camille Pirilli, residing in apartment 1E. Camille is an 87 year old owner who has resided in the building for the past 8 eight years.

Given her age and increasing mobility challenges, having a designated parking space closer to her unit would significantly improve safety and accessibility. The current parking arrangements are unpredictable and often requires long walking distances, which has become increasingly difficult and presents a risk of fall or injury.

Camille has been a long standing and responsible member of the community and has always complied with the Association's rules and obligations. This request is made in the interest of health, safety and reasonable accommodation, and we respectfully ask the Board to consider granting this exception. A designated parking space would be a temporary situation, only while she is living in the unit.

Camille currently has a Handicapped placard. Unfortunately this building doesn't have any handicapped spaces available. This is another fact supporting our request for a temporary designated parking spot.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate the Board's attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
Fran Barry
Daughter of Camille Pirilli of Unit 1E

Hi David,
I know the garage spots are tied to the individual condo units, how do the reserved spots work?  I thought each unit was at least afforded one Reserved spot near their unit.   Let me know so we can get back to Fran.

Also, when should we plan to meet to review a proposed budget for 2026 and get an update on the pending loan?
Thanks,

Daryl

Hi Fran,
I've reached out to the Property Manager to discern the allocation of the current reserved spaces.
Will advise once I hear back.
Best Regards,

That unit sold their garage spot years ago by a former owner, not legitimate sale by condo standards, to Larry Ho’s prior owner.
They have no spot now to park.

Either Larry can sell them his outside unit, or the association can sell them a nonreserved space.

You cannot just give them a space while the unit was allowed to sell it prior at a profit.

Hi Fran,
So Unit E1 sold their garage spot to another unit owner (E5) several years ago.  Therefore, E1 gave up their designated parking spot.

You would either need to see if the new owner of E5 is willing to sell the garage spot back to your mother, or you would need to buy an outside parking spot from the Condo association and we can mark that spot as reserved for E1 going forward.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
Thank you.

So her previous owner sold to my previous owner that's why I have the garage and the assigned spot. I didn't know that. That's kind of awkward.
