Does anyone fancy a cycle next Thursday evening ?

Dear All

It’s time to start our summer social cycling evenings.

The last Choristers Arms is on Tuesday, but instead of waiting until the following Tuesday, we thought we would have a cycle next Thursday evening (30^th) as well.

We suggest meeting at The Hatch, Shaw’s Corner at 7.30, cycling to The Plough at Leigh by 9pm ish to meet up with non-cycling buddies. Both on and off road. The Plough has plenty of outdoor space and at present the weather is set fair.

The following week we can revert back to Tuesday evenings.

Looking forward to seeing you all. Remember lights!

That sounds fine. Any chance of starting a bit earlier because of the fading light .

Yes, it would be good to start earlier but may exclude the workers. We can see who's interested and decide nearer the day.

Hi All

I am sorely tempted. Need to check the bike (and lights) as it’s a long time since I was last on it! Just hope I don’t have a repeat of my first outing with the RRCS Touring Club all those years ago when I ‘up-chucked’ after scaling the first significant obstacle (hill) on leaving my home. Still, being 21kg lighter due to my new dietary regime might help! Although, I suspect some loss of muscle mass could make peddling harder😉

Looks like we shall have a merry band of about 10. Brave Rick – looking forward to seeing the slim you!

The consensus seems to be an earlier start, so how about 7pm meet at The Hatch? This will probably be too early for you Andrew but we will be in local roads/lanes north of A25 for a while.

The Plough at Leigh has plenty of tables outside and no need to book. Toilets are inside so bring a mask. We have to order drinks at the front door.

We shall see you next Tuesday Tim.

See everyone else on Thursday for a 7pm start unless we hear otherwise.
