ros_buildfarm_deployment_config seems to indicate the requirement for a Linux-based host OS based on the bash scripts required to run. Is that true or can I install the ROS build environment on Windows based Jenkins and Docker?

Hi,

Running the ros_buildfarm on Windows is not a use case we designed for. I would not recommend attempting to make this work.

We do a lot of work in docker but there are many scripts that run bash to launch the docker instances.

The buildfarm_deployment is very much tied to posix. It's certainly possible to consider running it on other posix platforms, but the only tested platform is Ubuntu. If you're setting up a buildfarm it's highly recommended to have dedicated machines and to use the standard ubuntu base images.

I had a feeling that was the situation. Thanks for the prompt response.
