This discussion group is low traffic, and intended to serve polite informed and to the point discussions to a broad community of independent scholars on topics of general interest It is generally unmoderated, but may occasionally tuned to moderated when the list becomes overwhelmed . It’s certainly true that not all billionaires have the same outlook or viewpoints – like most socioeconomic groups, they’re very varied in their perspectives. For those that have access to BBC Sounds, I would highly recommend Good Bad Billionaire (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/p0g7xj36 - I’m not sure if only those in the UK can listen to these, or if anyone can). Most of each episode is an extended biography of a billionaire, explaining in particular how they made their first million and how they went from that to make their first billion. The hosts then judge each on quite a few different criteria and then finally decide whether they are “a good billionaire, a bad billionaire, or just another billionaire”. I’ve listened to quite a few of these, including the ones on Roman Abramovich, Rihanna and Aliko Dangote, and listened to the one on Warren Buffett yesterday. Fascinating stuff!
