There is one more Geezers of Cupertino Thursday Softball on the official schedule for 2024, The Thursday after Thanksgiving. December 5th. Lets get everybody that's still able bodied out there and close the year with a "hit" performance!

If we can get enuff people interested, we can continue an unofficial or Rogue game on Thursdays. We could possibly set up an every other Thursday or even once a month schedule among ourselves, again depending on the interest and commitment by enuff people to make it worthwhile. Opinions? Suggestions?

Hi Tony:

Yes, I think this week was the last "official" game for the season.  City of Cupertino usually starts up again in March.  Thursday there were 10 of us.  It was very cold and very windy, but we had batting practice and then had a game with the right side of the field closed off.  Fun last game.  :)

Have a good rest of the year and I look forward to seeing everyone in the new season!

For those of you who don't read your Rogue Softball messages or are not on it: Amanda just sent out this email regarding the last day of play for 2024 and her invitation to pizza. Even if you haven't been a paying member and wish to get together with the group, it is a public space and no one has ever been refused admittance in my knowledge. BUT, more importantly there are TWO game days left, Dec 5 & Dec 12.

Hi 50+ Softball!

 

It has been another great season, and I hope you all had fun this year. For those of you who are new, we traditionally end the season by getting together and having pizza at Cicero’s Pizza after the last meeting of the season. I’ll be pitching to cover a pie or two, but drinks and more pizza are on your own. In the past when more pizza was bought, larger pizzas were ordered and people brought cash to pitch in.

 

This year our get together will be Thursday, December 12, at 11:30 a.m. If you can make it, please reply back (a quick “I’ll be there!” will do) just so I have any idea of how many to expect. Address is below:
