The official, Senior Center supported, Geezer Softball season is scheduled to begin this coming Thursday, April 3. This means the Parks/Rec people will set up the field and even lay down base lines, assuming things haven't changed since last summer. I didn't say the lines would be straight but they should exist...... Turnout on the unofficial, Rogue version has been pretty darn good during the "winter" and with some more of you coming out full teams are expected. If you haven't met the new people who've started playing since December you will be glad to know that they are a good bunch and nice fits with the low key philosophy that exists on Thursdays.

COME ON OUT!

If you are already on one of the Rogue Text threads, there should be a follow-up reminder later this week. If you are not on one of those threads and wish to be, just reply to this and we'll get you added.

Thanks for the reminder!  I’m signed up and hoping to be able to start playing by month’s end.  My recovery has gone as well as could be expected and I have been cleared by my doctors.   I’m still moving a bit slower than I’d like and the body mechanics of throwing and batting cause some pain, so waiting a few more weeks, but I’ll be out there soon.

Hi all,

I just posted this on NextDoor to get more people to join us on Thursdays: https://nextdoor.com/p/DJfnczn-DMWS?

But, I can only post to my immediate neighborhoods. Would you guys repost it if you're on NextDoor, especially if you live in Cupertino. Super easy to repost. Just click on the above link then click on the bottom right arrow (see pic below).

If you're wondering where I got the photo, it's from the Senior Center when we played their staff a few years ago (when we were all looking a little younger!).

Thank you, Ilisa, Cecilia, and others that reposted. That post has gotten a total of 985 views the last two days and 3 new people that clicked on "interested". Hopefully, we'll see them and other new people tomorrow.

Hope to see as many of you familiar people tomorrow for Opening Day! Should be great weather for softball!
