I've been kicking around the idea of having a hidden object game for my outdoor haunt.  I'd have a QR code people can scan with their phones which would take them to a list of small objects in the haunt that people can find.  Sort of a visual scavenger hunt.

Seems like it would add some fun and encourage people to look at everything very closely.  Has anyone done anything like this before, and if so, do you have any advice on how to make it successful?

You could have them take a picture of each item. Based on how many pictures they take they get to pick different levels of treats or to make it simpler when shopping, 1,2 or 3 piece of candy. If your trying to spread word about your haunt, maybe one of those pictures can be them in front of a sign and they have to post it on Facebook or X and that earns them one more piece of candy.

Great idea!  I might have to do this!  You can create a Facebook page for your haunt and create a QR code for that page and have your list on that page.  💀

I do this every year.  Not as cool as with a QR code but I do have them count certain items and try to do some thing different every year.  And then I offer a swag bag for the first 3 winners.  It is a hit every time. I generally announce it on the Facebook page.

I hadn't even thought about prizes.  That's definitely something to consider!

Thanks!
