FYI. I was at Gamehaven this afternoon, June 15, 2020. Parking lot was very busy with people coming and going--dog walkers, mtn bikers, hikers, people fishing, etc. I started riding at 2:45. Got back to car at 3:45. Drivers side window was gone--they pried it at the edge of the door frame and busted in (damaging door too). Glass everywhere inside. Zoot brand backpack style tri/gear bag w/ helmet holder/fastener was among the items that were stolen. Its blue/black if you happen to see it on the back of some loser. It was mostly empty as I was wearing the gear, but some things were in it. They also took a pair of shorts that were on the floor which had my card wallet in it. I totally forgot to grab it because it was in the shorts that I changed out of while i was there in the lot. I took my phone with me when I went riding though. They must have rifled thru the clothes because they left the sweatshirt and t-shirt that were sitting there, but took the shorts. On the other hand, the shirt was from the Chequamegon 40, sweatshirt was Terra Loco so those are both identifiable while the shorts were plain black golf style shorts. Debit and a credit cards gone. Thesis and a Grand Rounds gift cards gone. I know... Free beer money gone. Drivers license and other misc hard cards were also stolen. I'm rambling...
Beware if you go to GameHaven or Eastwood as I was told they have been hot spots lately. Do not leave valuables in your vehicles in plain view. Also don't change clothes and/or hide your bag/stuff while their. Sometimes people are purposely hanging around watching for that type of behavior. Be ready to ride/hike/run when you get there with valuables already hidden before you arrive. I usually live by that advice, but on this particular day my guard was down and with all the normal activity there I felt safe. I was wrong. On the the plus side, my car needed vacuuming anyway. F'ing sucks though.
