If this needs to be spelled out, then here it is. First of all, if a training glider gets damaged during training, then make every effort to repair it after that night's training. Second, if for whatever reason, that is not possible to repair it at that time then, there are manilla tags on the desk and the damaged glider should be tagged out of service. Also, the tag should include what the damage is and tied to the zipper of the glider so someone looking to repair it knows which one it is and not have to go through every glider bag to find the damaged one. Third, an email and/or post on the Whatsapp to everyone so others know the condition of the equipment they have to work with on subsequent training nights. TL

Hey Tim,

That was my bad.  By the time we broke down the gliders on Monday and hauled them back to the hut it was dark.  They had already put the gliders inside when Keene told me that they had taken a deflector from another glider.  I couldn't remember which glider had what problem so I wrote notes on a couple of tags and left them on the table inside.  I thought perhaps wrongly, that all four gliders would have to be taken out and cannibalized to make a couple of good ones.  I don't have Whatsapp so I wrote up the whole thing on this link instead.  I apologize for not following the correct procedure.
