Sunday and Monday Harris Hill

Looks promising to get some flying in Sunday and Monday.

A few of us will probably end up at Harris sometime Sunday afternoon to check it out and make an attempt.

Looks like possibly Will P. is coming up Monday.  Frosty Bill is eyeing it also.

Despite the current state of affairs, we managed to solve all the world's problems at Jim & Rosie's last night.

Nice gathering with shrimp, super pizza, and a huge beautiful salad.

Sunday:  I planted landing flags in the lz.

I'm uptop now and considering flying if others come out.

It is blowing in.  A little strong, but looks doable.

The hawks are up there playing in the air right now.

Couple pics of the wind sock and sky attached.

Periodically a snow flurry in the air.

To put it in perspective, if this were January and we had a day like today, for sure some pilots would be on it!

Good morning,

It is soarable right now at 6:45 AM.  I'd suggest we get an early start and get in the air by around 11AM for hang gliders...but who knows for sure.

Looks like wind may get lighter by 1PM.

We flew for about an hour and then got flushed as it went north cross.

I think pilots got 1500 to 2000 over.

[Clinton Fought]

Hey everyone! I'm a paraglider pilot from Williamsport PA working on my P3 rating and had the pleasure of flying last Tuesday at Indian cliffs in some great late afternoon conditions. I ended up with a 90+minute flight and shared the ridge with some bald eagles and other pilots. It was my favorite flying experience so far and really wanted to share the footage with the club.

We missed you.  I sent a brief flight report the Monday after flying.

It was Ed J., Will P.  Bill V. and Aron.  We actually had 4 gliders in the air at one time!

We flew about an hour until it went north cross and flushed us all out.

It kind of became a landing scramble to get off the lz so the next incoming guy could land!
