For those going to the Top o' the Rockies event in Paonia...is there any group ride being planned to head out there on the Friday the 21st?

Sara and I will be headed up on Thursday.   My buddy Mike who Ft. Collins is headed up Wednesday.  Not exactly planned rides.  But I am sure there will be others.

Keep an eye on the BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado (BMWMCC) Facebook Page for details.

Bands for the Weekend....

Thursday Night: I forget.  It's a duo.  I am sure Norm has the name.

Friday Night: local CO band Peach Street Revival.

Saturday:  Blues artist Alistair Greene

Also, for those who are considering going.  The price is currently at the early bird $55.  That includes the bands, meals, vendors, and camping.  The price does go up slightly in July and for walk up.  But I think only by $10.

There are hotels/motels in the area as well as a designated space for campers for those who don't do the tent camping thing.

Asd I'm in charge, I'll head up Tuesday by truck.  The best route for those north of Morrison, head west on I-70 to Glenwood Springs, then south to pick up HY 133 from Carbondale to Paonia.  Lunch at the Honey Butter diner.

For those south of Morrison, HY 285 to US 5, then CO 92 thru Hotchkiss to Paonia.  Those that like dirt, can do Keebler Pass to 133.  The Friday night band is awesome!

I have not heard of Honey Butter Diner.  We will have to check that out this year!

Propagana Pie is our ussual stop.  That is pretty good as well if you like Detroit style deep dish pizza :)

It's on your right just after the turn off of 82 to 133.  Great food.  Several gas options there too.

Thanks Norm!  I will have to see if they have any gluten-free options there since gluten and I seem to have had a falling out.   That is one of the things I have liked about Propaganda Pie.  Gluten-Free crust option :)

Sean - it's been years since I've had Detroit style pizza. It was always a treat going up in Detroit, as the usual was Pizza! Pizza! from Little Caesars. But since I don't eat dairy, I'm not sure how good it pan pizza would be without cheese included.

Chris,

I can appreciate living with dietary restrictions and I definitely can't argue with the idea that pan pizza would just not be the same without cheese.

However, Propaganda Pie does also have the option of diary free vegan cheese if you wanted to give it a try.  Luckily I don't have a dairy intolerance on top of the gluten intolerance so I have now first hand experience with how it tastes.

They do also have subs and baked pasta :)

We will see you in Paonia.  I am glad the sinkhole repair will be completed! :)
