I agree with Vince. In a few months, the used bike market could be flooded with Harleys if Sturgis indeed becomes a "super-spreader event." If I can buy a relatively new 1200 Sportster variant for peanuts, well . . . . I'll ask Curtis for advice.
One of the saddest news clips that I have recently seen, however, was of a young man in Texas in an ICU. He had gone to a party titled a "Covid 19 party."
His last words were: "I think I made a mistake."
I hope it does not happen, but there may be many Sturgis bikers who will think or say the same thing . . . I hate to think what will happen when they return to their homes, families, friends and jobs and unwittingly infect more people.
Finally, as an ex-journalist having paid attention to the news media coverage of Sturgis since 2005 when I first went, I have never seen so much national coverage of Sturgis as has happened this year. A dubious distinction . . .
