E-Steve, it's the real deal, not April Fool's.

 

Peter was having new fork seals installed on his 1200 Trophy, and planned to spend tonight in Mexican Hat, and then ride into Gunnison tomorrow.  I have been updating him with the problems on US 50 and the bridge construction at Blue Mesa Reservoir.

 

I will keep you updated as to his progress.  His departure today was conditioned on the repairs being completed.

 

He's not on our Google discussion group and he does not use Facebook.

Peter is still putting his bike together this evening and plans to depart his home in the Phoenix area at 3:30 a.m. Friday.

 

If you have any information to help him navigate the US 50 bridge closure at Blue Mesa Reservoir, please text him at (480) 843-2838.

 

I texted him a screen shot of Bullet Bob's information about a 4:30 p.m.--6:30 p.m. window to cross the bridge, but he's concerned about what will happen if he arrives after 6:30 p.m.

 

Peter may be riding the longest distance, under arduous conditions in one day, to attend the Rally, so please celebrate his accomplishment and honor his attendance.
