l am assuming that April's meeting,one that l can finally attend,has been canceled ( the Gods are against me,yet again)!

My one and only question regards "Triumph in the Rockies".Have you been in contact with the Red Arrow Inn,or do we need to plan something else once the calamity ends?Thanks in advance

Although I don’t presume to speak for Manny, I have been helping out from this end and the Red Arrow has blocked out rooms for the July weekend, at least that was true a couple of weeks ago.

Steve, I saw in the news that Gunnison is restricting all travel in and out. Is Montrose county under the same restrictions right now?

Montrose county is not under anything more restrictive than the state ordered at the time. Gunnison county has had a much more infection rate, mostly from the Crested Butte ski area. As I understand it their restrictions are not keeping people from driving through but to keep them from staying there.

The thing is if you try to call Red Arrow Inn their phone is disconnected so you can't make a reservation over the phone, their website is still up at least a couple of weeks ago so I made a reservation there, good luck!

Chris, we don't know if they are still open, Steve Smith drove by there a couple of weeks ago and they were closed and no signs with updates and nobody around, so I guess it's just wait and see!

I heard back from them.  We are still good for July 17th weekend.  She did mention that while they were closed, their phone lines and internet were down to be repaired.  Otherwise you should be good to call or reserve online.

Just got off the phone with Red Arrow,still same rates as last year ($99/night for queen and $108/night for king).

Can still contact by phone or e-mail.Hotel re-opening the 2nd week of June,hope that Mexican restaurant will re-open by then as well!

Jim,double check your reservation,did you do room for king size or 2 queens?$361 might be a little steep,unless they charge full price for the third night?

Well, since the plans for family vacation, Scout events with my son, and about everything else have sunk faster than a lead brick over the Marianas Trench, I actually have time off to take. AND my wife's comment to me was, "Go you need a break." Or was it "Go I need a break!" Which ever.... 

I am now targeting to go this year. I will check with the work boss today about time off, and if so, I will be coming along. 

My plan is to go down Friday and return Monday. Anyone looking to share a room for those nights?

I already made a reservation for a king size bed earlier this week.However,if you want to split a room and you have not found anyone yet,be willing to share a room if you let me know.l will just need to call Red Arrow back to change the reservation to two queen size beds.

As things stand now,arrive Friday,in regards to the following Sunday,l will either check-out Sunday,back road and spend the night somewhere or stay Sunday in Montrose.l am still,at this time,undecided.Hope any of the above works out for you,love to see you make the trip down here,BYOL (bring your own liver)!
