Hi all,

I'm setting up a small discussion group to exchange ideas around "Federated Bookkeeping" (e-Invoicing + Credit Networks), which some of you might find interesting as well - if so, please join our Gitter channel! :) https://gitter.im/federatedbookkeeping/community

We're not linked to any particular project or implementation, but open to any ideas related to credit networks and federated bookkeeping. Right now we were just discussing a recent HackerNews post about SettleNetwork for instance. :)

The Gitter chat is linked to a weekly free-form video-call which you're also very welcome to join! Hope to see you there. :)

Cheers,
Michiel.

How is this different from ripple?  What is the goal?

Federated bookkeeping sounds a rebranding of distributed ledgers

Im very disillusioned when what ripple became.  It started as a very innovative distributed protocol for value propagation

And turned into a "please by my token" scheme.  And similar derivatives or offshoots, link to gatehub etc. which is again an elaborate "please buy my token" scheme

So what starts out as a way for agents to transfer and exchange value, becomes a tax on interaction, and founders get rich quick scheme

A fair way to implement Ryan's original idea of different agents exchange values through chains and trust lines is still very much needed

Cheers,
Michiel.
