Hi All,
My name is Mary and I run a small nonprofit with a "two-clawed" approach: building culinary markets for green crab and spreading awareness of its invasive impact. Our organization partners with harvesters, chefs, and seafood purveyors to get green crabs out of coastal waters and onto plates. This past fall, we kicked off a new program called Crab Class, funded by the Narragansett Bay Estuaries Program. Through Crab Class, we can provide up to 8 hours of programming to middle and high schools in the Narragansett Bay Watershed, exploring green crabs, their invasive impact, and culinary uses. Programming can also be hands-on for schools interested in shucking or sorting demonstrations!

I'm reaching out to see if any teachers in the watershed are interested in participating this spring. We have four spots remaining for three middle schools and one high school and you can learn more information about the program here
