Hello Educator friends,

This week is Outdoor Teaching Week, an initiative Thrive Outside has created to encourage teachers to take learning beyond the classroom walls.

Will you consider taking your students outside for at least one period?  Or perhaps you are hungry for a challenge and will try to get the class outside for a portion of each day.  Whatever you do, we'd love to hear about it and even see a photo or two if you happen to think of it.

If you find that there are too many obstacles to overcome in order to get your students outside, we want to hear about that too.

Dear Educators,

Hooray for Thrive Outside and Outdoor Teaching Week!

In recognition of Outdoor Teaching Week, I invite you to fill out Story Walking Radio Hour's Outdoor Teaching Survey which explores the barriers to outdoor teaching. Your responses to ten multiple choice questions will help all of us gain a better understanding of the challenges you face. i would like to compile your input into a white paper that can help guide the future of programming and services provided by RIEEA and its many member organizations, including mine..

Respondents who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for a copy of my new book, The Angel Heart and companion Teacher Pack, which brings nature learning together with emotional and spiritual development.
