Emergency vehicles are blocking part of Ridgeside. Everyone is fine.

Everyone. And everything ok. Per the Fireman there was an issue with a power line on the top of Ridgeside. Powers been turned off. EPB is on the way.

As I was backing out the driveway (10 Ridgeside), one of the fire trucks leaving followed me out. He was from the new fire station just down Shallowford (not East Ridge). Which I think is great, I didn't know they would come to us but great to know!

I spoke with the fire chief Mike Williams. When we send fire calls it dispatches to both East Ridge and Chattanooga; which is great. They respond together on specific types of fire calls. East Ridge Fire was here with 7 minutes once dispatched this morning. We are well covered by them and the police. The power line that went down at the top of the pool road is being replaced now. All is well.

Most fire and police departments in our area have a reciprocal agreements where they cover and backup each other. So, yes, we have the best of both jurisdictions for our services.
