Hi,

I am using git with reviewboard.
I usually work on a topic repository like

commit3
commit2
commit1
master

It would be possible to submit all the changes one by one to reviewboard?
what I would like is something similar to git format-patch

- create separate reviews for commit1, 2 and 3
- create dependencies between the commits (commit2 blocks commits3, depends on commits 1)
- add [PATCH 1/3] to the review

What is the easiest way to do it with rbtools?
I can also export the diff with git format-patch --output-directory=../out HEAD..master but I cannot send the patches with rbt (it complaints)

Thank you,
Nick

Hi Nick,

What version of Review Board are you using? With 4.0, you can have one review request cover all the patches, letting reviewers choose to review each commit individually or squashed together.

There’s no explicit RBTools support for creating multiple review requests and to wire up dependencies between them. We’ve considered it, but focused on the multi-commit review requests instead. Definitely open to hearing about other use cases, though.
