 Hi All,

I have reviewboard 2.5.16  fully working. As I was trying to upgrade reviewboard unfortunately drop the reviewboard database from live system.. my bad as you are working multiple system as time. I restore the db from last night backup but now user see many inconsistency between db and file system. Please can you let me know how to rectify this. As users are not letting me rest at all.

Thanks,

Hi Tahir,

Sounds like a rough day :/ Sorry you were going through that. I know it's been a couple days now... What error(s) are you seeing? Were you able to get past this?

Can you explain what went wrong during upgrade?

Going forward, it's important to always make a backup of the database and site directory, test the upgrade on another system, and schedule maintenance before performing an upgrade so nobody can use the server.

Hi Christian,

Thanks for coming back to me.  I want to upgrade from 2.5.16 to 3.0.15.

so by mistake Instead of droping the db from new system I drop it current system. I restore the DB from last night backups. So than user complained:

"I’m trying to post an update to an existing review. Every time I rbt post it seems to grab different results. And none of them look like my changes."

so at the end I restored it from the snapshot. and It start working. Reason could be that DB was 8 hours old and files could be new so that may have caused the inconsistency.

Any way I have updated the reviewboard for some reason it did not go smooth on Centos7  so I used Ubuntu18. which cleared all the dependency.

Now on Ubuntu I have issue that old repositories. For some reason reviews just getting to first repository there not going to original repository.

Thannks,
Tahir
