Hi,
I've recently installed ReviewBoard on RHEL 7.7 machine and it seems running fine. I have an issue with adding SVN repository. From the Repository type list I can only select Team Foundation Server and Team Foundation Server (git). I have PySVN installed and it seems to work when I try to import it from Python console. What can be the reason of this issue? Is there any log file where I can get some information? Thank you

Hello, did you already check the logs of where it's installed, there should be a logs folder under the installation, mine for example is /var/www/reviews/logs

Chris,
I already checked this logs with enabled debug logging in Review Board and there is nothing helpful.

Thanks

What version of Review Board are you on?

I'm not affiliated with Review Board but I'm willing to help if you're patient enough :D. I do have a couple svn repos setup on my instance, but it is pretty odd that it doesn't even give you the option.
I see a bunch of options from the "Repository type" dropdown.

I'm pretty sure I'm using subvertpy though, would you be willing to try installing that?

Chris,
thank you that you're willing to help :) I have both subvertpy and pysvn installed.

Hi,

If you only have those options in there, then there's some sort of Python dependency error somewhere. This will prevent us from scanning for Python package "entrypoints" that provide the SCM support (amongst other things -- authentication backends and extensions will also go missing).

What you'll want to do is open your reviewboard.log file (or check the Apache error log) and look for anything saying "VersionConflict". This should show what it's upset about. I can help provide the right resolution once I know what it's showing.

Hi,
Sorry for jumping in the middle but since I've encounter the exact same issue I wanted to add my input as well.
Installed RB 3.0.16 on Ubuntu (18.04) and installed subversion and python-svn (using apt-get install subversion python-svn command).
I've checked both reviewboard.log (after enabling it in debug mode) and the apache2 error log and there is no "VersionConflict" error.
Any other checks\information I can add in order to assist resolving this issue?
Thanks,
Liran.

Hi again,
Browsing the rest of the SVN repository issues helped me to resolve my problem :)
I've executed "rb-site manage /path/to/sitedir registerscmtools " which registered new SCM Tools (one of them was Subversion) and now my Repository Type contains Subversion (among other new repo types).
Hope it will assist someone in the future.
Cheers everyone.
