Role: Senior Performance Tester/Engineer

Client: Highmark Health Care

Location: O'Fallon, MO

Duration: Long term

Only USC and Green Card Holders

Minimum Experience: 9 Years Mandatory

Team’s main responsibility:

·  Quality Engineering for GPS NAM program. Make sure the quality of the products delivered to our customers meet their expectations.

Top 4 required technical skills:

·  Performance scripting for various protocols ( Java, Web, SOAP ,Rest API, etc.)

·  Performance monitoring and tuning to identify bottlenecks. Dynatrace/Splunk tool experience.

·  Java and C Programing – understands and can write programs, as necessary.

·  Worked in Agile environment.

Desired/nice to have skills:

·  - Good understanding of SOAP API and Rest technologies.

·  - Understanding of DB performance tuning.

Soft skills:

·  - Great communication skills.

·  - Able to prepare performance test reports to share it with all stakeholders.

·  - Excellent team player

·  - Document and implement performance engineering strategy and test plans covering environment, schedule, test data set up to certify performance SLAs.

·  - Coordinate and participate in requirements review, design and architecture reviews to feed into performance testing activities of assigned developed systems.

·  - Execute various kinds of performance tests ( load, stress, etc) to validate system performance and stability.

·  - Monitor automated and manual performance testing and play a key role to troubleshoot performance issues covering platform hardware analysis, scalability, etc and drive performance issues to closure.

·  - Document problems, monitor resolutions and retain documentation necessary to share knowledge with engineering and application teams.

·  - Generate periodic performance reports for management and stakeholder review.

Relevant Experience

·  - Experience in Non-Functional Testing with experience as a Performance Engineer. Able to define Performance Test plans and roadmaps and partner with the Engineering team to deliver strategy.

·  - Prior experience installing, configuring and using Performance Testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Storm runner.

·  - Prior Experience using performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace to identify performance bottlenecks.

·  - Good working knowledge of Java and the ability to monitor and tune JVM/App servers, articulate JVM GC logs, ability to collect performance metrics and make relevant recommendations to the Dev/Architecture team to resolve performance bottlenecks.

·  - Able to define Performance Test plans and roadmaps and partner with the Engineering team to deliver strategy.

·  - Experience of Agile and tools such as ALM.

·  - Working effectively with both onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibility

·  - Works closely with software engineers to build quality by ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring, early performance testing

·  - Develops and implements QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies; partners with other functions to establish testing requirements

·  - Documents performance test strategies and test plans; translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods

·  - Participates in requirements review and performance testing activities; monitors resolutions and retains documentation

·  - Identifies and implements complex automation efforts; replicates and resolves production issues for single application

·  - Defines and implements best practices for end-to-end application performance management solutions; focuses on emerging technologies

·  - Assists in vendor assessment and evaluates and recommends software development tools

·  - May manage medium-sized project/initiatives as an individual contributor with advanced knowledge within discipline, leading a segment of several initiatives or a larger initiative and assigns day-to-day work

·  - Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods

·  - Acts as first-review for project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections

·  - Directs evaluation of manual testing tools for automation opportunities

 

Position Overview:

·  This is a Team of quality engineers and currently Building performance Engineering team

·  Both Performance Testing and Engineering experience

·  Writing scripts and executing, Involved in Monitoring

·  Identify Performance bottlenecks

·  Applications were going to be in cloud

·  Have Web Services SOAP and Migrating to Rest

·  Some understanding about Java Programming

·  Load runner, Jmeter, Storm Runner

·  Dynatrace or Splunk

·  40% Performance testing and 60%identifying bottle necks

·  Payment Domain Experience will help

·  Scripting for Performance testing

·  Quick Learner and also bring the Prior experience

·  Basic understanding of Java Programming from the Scripting Perspective

·  Understanding of Java Classes, Source code concepts,

·  They need to understand What are the code repositories available

·  Have Devcloud and posted some apps and need to start using it.
