Job Description:

Cloud Engineer Platform Operations.

 

The Role:

Manager is looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer responsible for supporting operations of 2 business applications in a multi-cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) environment: IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) and ServiceNow (PaaS model).

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.       Support ILMT and ServiceNow operations in a multi-cloud environment ensuring stability, access, and availability of these application to the enterprise

2.       Manage AWS resources deployed to the infrastructure supporting ILMT and ServiceNow (i.e. rehydration activities, disaster recovery exercises, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, security, etc.)

3.       Collaborate closely with vendors, architects, developers, product owners, stakeholders, and customers across multiple teams to deliver cloud solutions for complex customer problems

4.       Contribute to solution design, build, operational improvements, and innovation of infrastructure supporting multiple business applications

5.       Utilize a diverse toolset to deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure including but not limited to Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform

6.       Troubleshoot network, performance, code, and deployment issues

7.       Work with and debug JavaScript, SOAP, REST, JDBC, LDAP, PowerShell, FTP, APIs, Scripted REST API framework, automation, and integration tools and technologies

8.       Ensure compliance with departmental and enterprise cloud and security configuration standards

9.       Work in mission critical on-call support across a team rotation schedule

10.   Provide support during scheduled off-hours and some weekend release activities.

 

Basic Qualifications:

1.       Bachelor's degree

2.       At least 2 years of experience in technology infrastructure or business services in a support role

3.       Demonstrates ability to work independently and strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

1.       Academic studies in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.

2.       At least 2 years of experience in AWS, specifically EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, and IAM.

3.       At least 2 years of experience in Linux and/or Windows Server administration.

4.       Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
