Role: SSIS Lead developer

Location: Remote/GA

Duration: Long term

 

Responsibilities:

 

•            Develop stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views

•            Work with application / reporting team to create and implement SSIS ETL packages

•            Assist in database modelling

•            Assist in performance tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures

•            Perform peer code reviews to ensure efficient database code

•            Mentor team members on various aspects of SQL Server.

 

Skills:

 

•            10+ years’ experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Transact SQL (T-SQL)

•            Strong experience on creating database objects such as tables, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers and writing complex queries.

•            Data warehouse techniques, methods and logging process and dimensional modelling

•            Proven ETL development and data integration between multiple data source systems

•            Experience in Query Optimization and tuning

•            Experience in the insurance (e.g., UW, Claim, Policy Issuance) or financial industry preferred

•            Detailed problem-solving skills, documentation, communication

•            Ability to manage time, work within a team environment to meet project goals/deadlines

•            Ability to work on multi (Technical/Business) environments and train end users is good to have

•            Strong SSIS/T-SQL troubleshooting and debugging skills

•            Experience developing database solutions using database design principles/standards

•            Mature analytic problem-solving skill

•            Experience with Microsoft development tools and technologies including:

•            SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2014/2016

•            MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio)

•            Experience with Team Foundation Server 2012 or other source control tools

•            Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (e.g., SSRS, Tableau Server) is a plus

•            Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

•            Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
