Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Capture and translate functional specifications into technical specifications
and designs
• Develop technical solutions per functional and technical specifications
• Deliver high-quality source code, unit test scripts, and technical
documentation
• Load and extract data using standard utilities
• Perform functional and technical analysis of software components. Provide
feedback regarding effort estimates, complexity and feasibility when changes in
original design and development are required to meet evolving business
requirements.
• Create complex queries, reports, and extracts and ensure accuracy of
data
• Excellent communication with management, peers, and other support
groups
• Identification of the risks when customizing or configuring a system, report,
or application and provide recommendations for course of action
• Adhere to quality standards and software configuration management
guidelines
• Develop and communicate new technology standards and best practices as
appropriate
• Ensure production SLAs are met
• Respond to and resolve production support issues within Service Level
Agreements using the Service Now ticketing system
• Take the lead role in proactively seeking out process and system design
improvements
• Design features that adhere to security, privacy, and other policies outlined
by AAM and external authorities when handling sensitive, personal
information
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have
• PeopleSoft 9.2
• PeopleSoft Core
• PeopleSoft Payroll Interface
• People Soft Benefits Administration
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Five years of expert level PeopleSoft programming and design using SQR,
PeopleTools 8.5x, and Microsoft SQL Server 2014.
• Expert with PeopleSoft systems administration and maintenance
• Proven ability to design, code, test, and debug new HR software tools or
enhancements to existing software
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with peers, management
and cross-functional areas, and convey technical information to non-technical
audiences
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, meet schedules and deadlines,
organize and prioritize work assignments, and pay close attention to
detail.
• Proven ability to effectively estimate time needed for software
development
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and use good judgment in evaluation and
decision making
• Experience with IT Ticketing systems preferably Service Now
• Experience applying software development life-cycles methodology to
development projects
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of project management tools and techniques
• Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition experience a plus
