Hello FYAers,

The April FYA Book club meeting turned into a re-do of March since none of us had finished I'll Stop The World in time. I was really hard on I'll Stop based on what I had read before the meeting but I've since finished the whole thing and it definitely redeems itself! We spent most of our book discussion back on The Cartographers from February. We all agreed that book was weird and unrealistic (not that all YA books need to be realistic but this one was confusing). This month's selection is by bestselling author Brandon Sanderson so I'm expecting great things. In May, we're going to try again experimenting with a hybrid format. For those of you who want to meet in person, it'll be in west Raleigh at Bru's Public House. It's not super far from Holly's place so hopefully someone can give her a ride to-and-from if she's feeling up to travel. The rest of us will be on Zoom. I hope we can make this work 🤞 As always, folks are welcome even if they haven't read/listened to the book, if you just want to drop by and say hi!

Martin, if you just got the paper book and want to reschedule, that works for me. I have a big church anniversary/birthday do on Sunday, 2nd June, from 10:30 until the Presbyterians stop partying. Erin, Skyward is in my top 5 sci-fi books of all time! I checked out the next book in the series because I liked it so much! I don't recommend the audiobook, though. The narrator is way too tame for our fiery protagonist.
