Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect with strong
expertise in Azure cloud services to design, implement, and optimize
enterprise-grade analytics and BI solutions. The role involves end-to-end
architecture design, data modeling, performance optimization, governance, and
building scalable data platforms using Azure and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect Power BI solutions including data models, dashboards, reports, and workspaces.
- Develop scalable Azure-based data architectures, including Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and related services.
- Build and optimize data pipelines supporting BI and analytics workloads.
- Implement row-level security (RLS), workspace governance, and Power BI best practices.
- Lead BI solution design, modern data platform planning, and enterprise-level reporting strategy.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather analytical requirements.
- Ensure high performance of datasets using DirectQuery, Import mode, and Composite models.
- Create and maintain semantic models, star-schema models, and measures (DAX).
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for Power BI and Azure analytics assets.
- Drive Power BI governance: workspace structure, deployment rules, data quality standards, naming conventions, and data security.
- Lead migration from legacy BI tools to Power BI and Azure.
- Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of BI solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence & Analytics.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, Dataflows.
- Deep knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Databricks.
- Experience architecting enterprise data models and semantic layers.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data platform architecture.
- Excellent command over DAX and Power BI performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD for BI solutions.
- Expertise in data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
