Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join our clients Data Governance and Analytics organization. The candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining modern data solutions to enable trusted, governed and high-quality data across the enterprise. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership in data platform modernization, and a collaborative mindset to partner with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data engineering and governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, integrity, and lineage across multiple systems.
- Design and develop ETLELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Implement scalable data pipelines on on-premise and hybrid environments using tools like Teradata, Hadoop, Greenplum, and Snowflake.
- Work with Dataiku to build, automate, and orchestrate complex data workflows and models.
- Collaborate with business users, data stewards, and governance teams to define data standards, lineage, and metadata management strategies.
- Participate in modernization initiatives, integrating legacy systems with new data platforms and governance tools.
- Monitor performance, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with enterprise data policies and governance frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders in agile development environments.
Technical Skills Languages
Tools Python, PySpark, SQL, Shell scripting Platforms Hadoop, Teradata, Greenplum, Snowflake, Dataiku Data Governance Lineage Collibra, Purview, or similar tools (preferred) Version Control ClCD Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket
