Doesnt sync through certain networks

I wrote earlier about Repetitions app not working on Mac Catalina. Switched to my Surface laptop that I use in my office and seems to be fine... one problem though. Cant sync to cloud after I make updates to database. The app tries syncing but it goes forever and doesnt complete.

Ive had this issue for a while on my phone version of repetitions.  The sync works through certain wifi sources at work and doesnt work through others. Im assuming its related to different security settings of the network. Do you know how can I fix this?

I am connected to University network through my own router. Is there anything in the router settings I can try to change so that sync works? Or maybe some changes in network settings on my laptop?

You'll need access to port 65535 to sync -- school networks usually block many ports.

This will change in the upcoming version, which will use standard ports so that it is more accessible in restricted networks.

How can I get access to port 65535 ? Or is that not possible on this version?

Your university network is most likely blocking this port, so the only thing you can do is contact the network administrator to see if they'll allow it.
