Hi there. Last time used Mac version of the app in March 2020 and it worked fine. Today launched the app, everything looked ok first. Then tried to open a different srs file but the app shows blank boxes as if no flashcards are opened. Tried to rename srs files and no luck. Whenever try to synch files from cloud the app asks me to show the folder where i want to synch it and after i choose a folder it freezes up, have to force quit. It seems like the app cannot access the hard drive to read or store files

The only thing that changed from March is that bought a new macbook that has catalina (had Mojave on the old one). Here are some things I have tried already and they didnt work
1. Granted full hard drive access to the app in Mac's security settings
2. Removed and reinstalled repetitions app
3. Restarted the computer
4. Tried opening srs files from different folders and even external hard drive
5. Created a new database. It works, even adds cards but when you try to open another srs files the app stays on that just created database

Also last time I wrote here for back in 2018 a new version was promised. Is it still expected? If yes, when?

The app is broken on macOS Catalina, which apparently has broken a lot of things. I've been recommending others to stay on macOS Mojave or run it through a virtual machine as I realize it may not be realistic to downgrade, or use the app on Windows or Linux.

As for the release of the new version, it's definitely going to happen, but I don't have an exact ETA on release as I want to avoid making promises that I can't keep (I'm sure I may have mentioned dates once or twice that obviously didn't happen) -- things don't always go according to plan either due to technical issues or licensing issues. As they say, it will be done when it's done.

Best Regards.

Thank you for the app, really. It has been my companion through 4 US medical board exams.  Reps is the most user friendly spaced repetition app on market.

I have no knowledge in writing programs but have a few suggestions for the new version. Please make stability and data safety the highest priority. Making flashcards may take a lot of time and effort so accidentally losing entered data is devastating. Another issue I have had in the past is is the app failing to save little changes that I made on go from iPhone (obviously stopped editing from phone after that one). So generally its better to have limited functionality but stability if you had to choose.
