I stopped by RedCap's this afternoon hoping to try out 2e and met a very helpful society player who suggested I post here. (thanks again, Peter!) However, this post isn't society specific - I'm happy to move it someplace more appropriate. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some folks to play the new edition of Pathfinder with. I ran PF campaigns for years before switching to a few different PBtA games. It's been awhile, but, with the new edition out, I hope to dust off my d20 and hop back into the world of Golarion. I'm not terribly interested in running society games, but I would love to run The Fall of Plaguestone adventure at RedCap's!

I can't commit to weekly sessions and weekday evenings are preferable to weekends. The most important new rule of 2e is "Gaming is For All" (pg 8). It's everyone's responsibility to follow that golden rule if we play together.

With that said, I'm excited to meet some fun folks and explore the troubled town of Etran's Folly (and the new edition of PF!). Let me know if you're interested!

Welcome to the google group!

So you’re looking to do a week-day evening game? How many hours a week we’re you thinking, and any preference to the day of the week? Probably not Tuesday’s I’m assuming? :)

It’s an AP right? Does it qualify for the newer society credit then?

Thanks for offering and I hope I can join!

Steve

Thanks for the welcome and for showing interest!

Yes, I'm looking for a week-day evening game. An ideal session length is 3 hours (6pm - 9pm would be great). Preference towards Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.

Plaguestone is considered a "stand alone adventure," formerly known as "adventure modules." From a quick google search it seems you were able to get society credit for adventure modules. My experience with society play is super limited, if someone knows the answer please jump in!

Welcome Sean,

You will indeed get playtest points, as long as you report it on the Paizo website
I believe it is 24 points for GM and 12 for players for each module

We're getting organized play in order and will hopefully have a new schedule up soon. Im the local venture captain if you have any logistical questions about society play. Sounds like you have everything well in hand tho

Cheers,
Robyn

Welcome, Sean. My only additional advice is to check with folks at Redcaps about table space, because I know Magic and other events take up quite a bit of space on other nights.

Thanks for the clarification, Robyn! And thanks for the heads up, Bristor.

Once there are enough interested players, and we have a weekday that works for most folks, I'm happy to reach out to the Redcaps organizers. Besides wanting to ensure we have table space, I don't want to get in the way of other established gaming groups.

I don't intend to overstep, but I could run Plaguestone on Tuesdays while there is a gap in society games.

Hi! I'm a 5e convert and excited to give PF2 a try. Keep me posted! Week nights can be a little tough for me, I work until 6:30pm, but fingers crossed that it'll work out.

Hi Kevin! Thanks for showing interest.

I'm going to hold onto my hopes for a week night game. However, if scheduling around other events require, and players demand, a Saturday or Sunday game, then so be it.

I'll keep you in the loop!
