@HIDDEN-PDF

Hi all,

I have used the @HIDDEN action tag a lot on standard REDCap forms.

I had used this tag to hide a calculated field and a string on a form.

I noticed that they both appeared regardless on the PDF produced by a survey.

So after a bit of research I added the @HIDDEN-PDF tag to those fields.

But it didn't work either.

Is anyone aware of a problem with this action tag?

Has anyone got a workaround I could use to hide fields on a PDF? (which doesn't involve branching logic!)

I know that's a bit of a tall order!

Hi David,

I've just tried it, the @HIDDEN-PDF works. It has to be all capital letters to work though. Or simple add that function from the list by clicking "@Action Tags" - then click the "Add" button next to the tag you want to make sure it is using exactly the same form as the tag is required. The "@Action Tags" is just under the box where you enter the Action Tag.

Thank you for getting bac to me on this Kate,

I think I got it working in the end by trial and error deleting all the tags and re-adding them lone-by one, like you say using the action tag button. I used to add them with a carriage return between each, but now I let REDCap put just a space between them. Someone where I work suggested that the order of these tags matters too but I can't confirm whether that's true.
