Dear Recovery Exchangers,
I believe (happy to be corrected!) that this google group had its origins in Recovery Devon, but has not enjoyed the engagement from us that it once did.
Connection is important and there are more ways to connect than ever now (she says looking sideways at 7 different email inboxes, 9 different social media accounts all with their own messaging service... text... messenger.... telegram... whatsapp..!) So I'm sorry to say that over the last couple of years I haven't been the best at adding all RD's work and offers here - only remembering to do so when something significant happens. However there's a huge amount of day-to-day work happening in community development, and we tend to concentrate more on doing it, than telling about it - and when we do tell, it's hard to cover all audiences.
So I wondered whether folk here might consider signing up for the Recovery Devon newsletter? It's set up such that you'll get an introductory tour of what we currently do. You'll then get a digest on a Saturday morning of any work that we are inviting guests to, research we're participating in, training offers... or write-ups of these. This year I've also set myself the task of a monthly "recovery round up" of things in the county. Of course such a thing could run to many pages... but it's a start!
This in no way replaces the immediacy of this google group, which I always come away from with something new to explore - but if you are feeling a little disconnected from Recovery Devon, here's an easy way back in.
Warm wishes to all
Em
