some testing on a cold day

Did some testing today using the new RSSI software that Charles posted over a week ago.

The RSSI Tone mode does appear to have a wide dynamic range see attached excel file.

 

Need to set up a transmitter outside and do more testing.

Any comments from the group?

That is looking good so far. It will be good to get some real-life data using a live ARDF transmitter and antenna outdoors. If it works well enough then maybe we can look at adding automatic attenuation control - eliminating the need for an attenuation knob. It should be interesting figuring out how that will work!
