excess materials (at the moment)

Hello all, 

We have a few excess materials right now: 

butter knives

lightbulbs

firestarters

Below, I've said a bit more about each item. If you need these or know anyone who does or might, reach out to me! (Even better is if you're willing to do a little digging/reaching out to make contact with orgs or individuals who can use these items! -as much as I wish I had infinite time to make calls, etc. I do not. :D 

Butter Knives: we're working with a local artist who has been creating sculptures from utensils and other found metal objects. We've overwhelmed him for now, so we have a backlog of about 200 butter knives. These can be recycled, but if someone can use them for a higher purpose, great! 

Lightbulbs: we probably have close to 100 lightbulbs right now in various sizes, but mostly just standard size bulbs. We recently transitioned away from testing, pricing and placing for sale most of the lamps (we'll only be pricing lamps that have had some repair done on them) so we have excess bulbs. These can be landfilled, I suppose, but before we do that, I thought it would be good to offer them up to anyone who wants to use up the life left in them! 

Firestarters: We have literally hundreds of firestarters ready to be distributed! These are made (with a lot of love) by one of our volunteers, from discarded candle waste. They are ideal for outdoor fires since most of them have wax that is scented.

Terra,

    We will take all of your standard incandescent light bulbs if you have any of those.  Radio people use those in dim bulb testers.   Maybe some candle ones as well.
