Hi Nick,Did you try restarting apache? Not positive that is the issue, but might be worth a shot.
Hello all,--
Hope all is going well with all of you. I have a long shot question to ask...Our hosting provider's system was telling me I had to update it to avoid a critical security issue. The first part of the update, involving Apache, appears to have done something to make it impossible to run any PHP file. On the user's side, they consistently get a 500 Internal Server Error.
This is the back end error message:
"SoftException in Application.cpp:576: Could not execute script "/home/beloit/public_html/reason/displayers/generate_page.php""That error example uses Reason's generate_page as the cause, but I also tried a simple "hello world" PHP file and it triggers the same error. That message is not very helpful in telling me what the cause might be. We have a support ticket in with our hosting provider, but its been 36 hours and I'm still trying to see if there's anything I can do to get the website running again in the mean time.
I'm not expecting a miracle, especially given our unique hosting situation, but does anyone have an idea of what this error is, or what might be causing it?
Thanks,
Nick

Lots if questions and little helpful answers on the interwebs on this error. This suggests that folder or file permissions could be involved:You might also see if the apache configs changed in a way that is not playing well with .htaccess files - either not permitting them or not allowing rewriterule stuff. This thread suggests thst could also be a cause: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26438044/i-am-getting-internal-server-error-page-on-uploading-symfony-project-on-live-serGood luck!Matt
