Job Title : Senior Full Stack Java Developer with a Claims Management applications background

Location : Pittsburgh, PA

12 months contract-to-hire

US Citizens or Green Card holders only; remote during COVID-19 pandemic

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine the impact of new programs on and ensure their compatibility with existing system operations.

• Oversee development of system specifications through interaction with business users and sponsors; determine the feasibility of the resulting projects; and display strong depth of knowledge in specific business subject areas.

• Assist in projecting software and hardware requirements.

• Oversee design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software ensuring that company’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) guidelines are followed.

• Formulate/define project scope and objectives.

• Lead the development, modification, and maintenance of software to meet company needs and user suggestions.

• Prepare program documentation including administrator and end user help documents.

• Direct other analyst/programmers; assign, prioritize and monitor workload.

• Provide guidance and training to team.

• Prepare status reports to department manager.

• Ensure successful completion of projects in conformance to project goals and requirements.

• Ensure proactive and cooperative relationships exist within the project team; remain accessible to project team members.

• Keep up to date with technology changes and direction.

• Administer company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.

• Interview, hire and establish colleague performance development plans; conduct colleague performance discussions.

• Provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• 9 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include 5 years of program development experience with 3 years specialized programming relative to program needs.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Information Systems or Computer Science major preferred.

• Strong expertise in Java, ReactJS, SAML, SSO, SQL Server or Oracle, SAML and SSO.

• Proven leadership and organizational skills.

• Working knowledge of claims management applications preferred.

• Knowledge of applications systems analysis and programming.

• High level of self-motivation.

• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
