IF it is indeed at all seized – I would tend to agree with Richard and Gerald – there’s no point to ‘fix’ it if it might go wrong at a critical moment, better to take the pain at a moment of your choosing.
But, this sort of product is often simply poorly lubricated, and it might be that giving it a good go-over with the right lubricants not only does the trick but leaves it in a better position for the future… anyway I’m willing to have a look at it and confirm whether the others’ suspicions are correct, or it can be CONFIDENTLY fixed…
