Ready 0.10.1

Ready 0.10.1 is now out! Windows binaries only so far - help needed. Let me know if you want other binaries.

Even though it was just a few days since 0.10, there are 14 new patterns in 0.10. This is thanks to Tiha von Ghyczy who has got interested in population dynamics, and to Jason Rampe of Softology, who has helped explain Laplacian Growth.

I finally got round to doing a Mac build (sorry for the delay).

Took a bit longer than expected due to lots of mysterious warnings

and error messages after upgrading Xcode to version 11.2.

Eventually solved all the problems so you might want to set up a

Travis task to match my config:

Mac OS 10.14.6, Xcode 11.2.1, VTK 8.2.0, wxMac 3.1.3.

I also had to add a #define line for M_PI in all the vti files in
the Patterns/Kobayashi1993 folder (Apple's OpenCL headers

don't seem to have it).

I haven't updated the version number -- not sure if you want to

leave it at 0.10.1 or bump it up to 0.10.2.  I can upload a dmg file

when that's been decided.

I tried adding the xcode11.2 travis platform and it fails with the same strange errors as the 11.3 one: https://travis-ci.com/github/GollyGang/ready/jobs/317567337, e.g.:

These errors started recently with no change on our side, so I think it's a Travis-CI issue. I'll disable that platform for now and will try to work out how to report this to Travis.

Oh, that issue is fixed now. We had a 'brew update' that was needed but that now was breaking things.

Ok, the Mac version of Ready 0.10.1 is now available for download.

The dmg file is signed and notarized so hopefully should be fine

for Catalina.

Thanks heaps for getting a Mac build sorted out Andrew!

With the recent vtk_components branch now merged, Ready builds on my Gentoo Linux with no fiddling at all (I just cloned gh-pages to double check this, see attached screenshot).

It seems like it has never been easier to get Ready built! So awesome! great work everyone (especially Tim, what a legend!!!) :D

We (well, mainly me) should look into making a Gentoo ebuild for Ready (one exists for Golly already, so it shouldn't be too tricky) that would mean that any Gentoo user can just do 'emerge ready' and get Ready (along with all of its dependencies) built from source and installed automatically! I'll try to contact whoever made the Golly ebuild and see if they can help (the ebuild will need to be accepted and I have no idea how all of that works).
