Dear RDFlib,

The JSON-LD parsing and serialisation plugin for RDFlib is a separate package - https://github.com/RDFLib/rdflib-jsonld. It was created separately some time back when JSON-LD was in flux and RDFlib core wasn't. Since JSON-LD is now both stable and in widespread use, we would like to move this to being a core plugin within the main RDFlib package, just as the parsers/serializers for N3, XML, etc. are now.

Current work on the JSON-LD package is implementing the JSON-LD 1.1 specification and, so far, this is only partly complete. We would like this work complete before integration with RDFlib.

So, would any developers out there be interested in completing the JSON-LD 1.1 support, picking up from this PR: https://github.com/RDFLib/rdflib-jsonld/pull/74?

I have one likely candidate but I think we will need a couple of committers. If you are interested, please let this mailing list know!

JSON-LD's very important for RDF/Linked Data and, I think, we need this parser/serializer integrated into RDFlib core soon so we can move forward with JSON-LD just being catered for everywhere.

Cheers,

Nick & Ashley

Same. I've made some minor PR contributions to rdflib, and I want help ensure JSON-LD 1.1 support, but I'd also want some direction.

Hi Boris & Donny,

Thanks for volunteering. I will put together a couple of other people to work with you. I've just received a boot in interest in ensuring that this tool is updated and merged into RDFlib from the OGC: they are working with the transition of APIs from JSON to JSON-LD and need tools like RDFlib to do a good job of JSON-LD handling. Rob Atkinson (OGC member and on this list) will likely guide here and Edmond Chuc (also on this list) will likely assist with dev.

I'll email you all separately.

Anyone else, please also indicate interest!

Thanks,

Nick
