Dear RDFLib developers,

The SPARQLWrapper 1] is a wrapper around a SPARQL service; it helps in
creating the query URI and, possibly, convert the result into a more
manageable format. The library is quote focus on a concrete purpose,
so quite small and stable. It internally uses RDFLib for handling
graph queries, and actually it the implementation used in RDFLib for
querying remote SPARQL endpoints.

For quite a long we were thinking to move the code to GitHub. So, what
about the library would join the RDLib organization there? We
internally discussed the proposal [1], and all main developers agree
on it.

Looking forward to know your opinions about this proposal.

Kind regards,

Great! Thanks for accepting our proposal :-)

The three developers who would require access are: Ivan Herman
(iherman) who already contributes here, Carlos Tejo (dayures) and
myself (wikier).

For the moment I'll import the library as it is. But in the mid-term
we could think about renaming the module, even start to work in the
long time awaited feature of creative rdflib objects from query
responses.

Thanks guys!

Cheers,

I've added you - you have push/pull access - it may be that I have to create the repository for you - just let me know the name you want!

OK< now it works :-)

I've imported the source code (r180) at http://github.com/RDFLib/sparqlwrapper

And web page is hosted there too: http://rdflib.github.io/sparqlwrapper

Now we need to properly redirect from old resources.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi.

Would it be possible to restore some git tags for SPARQLWrapper in the
new git repo, corresponding to the past releases ?

It would help synchronizing the work of distribution packages and help
provide release tarballs on github (currently the download link from
http://rdflib.github.io/sparqlwrapper/ lists nothing :-/).

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,

No, not really, because I did it wrong an snapshot of the old repo.

They are safe at pypi:

https://pypi.python.org/pypi/SPARQLWrapper

New release will come, hopefully sooner than later, in github, don't worry.
