I was fortunate to score a recent sale of as-new small TrunkSacks; I got the khaki one. Thank you to the seller; I got the as-new bag for less than 1/2 list.

It's much smaller than I had anticipated, though, and the name reminds of of one of Rabbit's friends-and-relations, from Winnie the Pooh: the beetle Small. It's so cute!

(Sorry.)

Serious question. (Sorry, ramblin' mind: reminds me of my daughter age 5 or so: I'd be playing the fool and after it got to be too much, she'd say with great emphasis: "Daddy! Be sewious!")

I wonder if there is any way to use this as a large saddle wedge, IOW to attach it to a saddle sans rack? I'd be interested to hear of any ideas and even more of any successes.

Ta!

Pedal straps through the rings on top of the lid and over the saddle rails? Not sure how you'd deal with it opening straight down from the saddle though.

Thanks.

Just eyeballed that arrangement; no, too makeshift, you really need a support.

Really, this is made for small front racks of a certain minimum width. It's too wide and the straps aren't long enough to accommodate the Bilenky modified narrow Tubus Fly and the narrow custom rear rack on Matts 1 and 2; it won't work strapped to the saddle rails without a support, and there's no way to strap it to the handlebar that I can figure out.

Before I sell it on, I'd be grateful to see photos of others installation of this very well made little trunk bag. Anyone?

Thanks.

This is the only way I've ever seen them mounted. My objection to the arrangement (I've used it a couple times) is you have a whole dang rack for one itty bitty bag..I prefer a bar bag.

Thanks for the photo; yes, that's what I expect to see. I've got a Carradice Super C rack bag that is 5 cm wider (and 13 li versus 3 li) but still fits on skinny racks because it attaches very securely with long Velcro straps that accommodate a wide range of platforms.

Does anyone else mount it differently?

Yes, it does seem a rather exquisite exercise in insufficient volume. It has the volume for a good-sized good seat if there were some way to conveniently mount it back there.

In the event, I sold it on to someone who was glad to get it.
