54cm Loscos currently out of stock, the silver levers are hard to find, and salsa stem is legendary!

Rivendell says $144.34 shipped for the 48cm they have in stock, how about $195 shipped in CONUS for this set up, after any fees. $155 picked up in Menlo Park.

Is that Salsa stem vintage? I just looked up “Salsa stems” and found only 2 threadless models for oversized bars that look nothing like the classic quills.

I owned a number of the quill models, including at least 2 customs, including one for my first, 1995 Riv Road 26” wheel custom. (Recall modeling and cutting out cardboard templates to gauge the angle and reach). 

Nice, lightish, and I think sturdy, tho’ hardly as pretty as an old Nitto Pearl; still, stylish, IMO.

Yours must have a 150 mm extension, no?

Thanks for your message! It is indeed vintage, they are fantastic and very stiff stems. I bought the salsa because my technomic kept slipping and I thought it was a bit flexy in longer lengths, this solved that for my use case of riding a single speed around town. My notes say a 130-135mm measurement but I can double check. I think they look elegant as well, just in a different way than the Nittos.
