Friends -

You may or may not know who Euro-Asia Imports was, or that they closed and their entire inventory was bought by one guy, or that the one guy is from Milwaukee. No, not me, Vince from Ben's Cycle and Fitness. Vince just gave me a tour on which I got to see around 1% of it. It is absolutely astounding.

So, for those of you scratching around the meager offerings of 26.8mm seat posts, head on over to Ben's Cycle and Fitness eBay storefront. Keep checking in there, as it's going to take months for them to get everything uploaded.

Or, really, if you want anything else from the last 60 years of bike stuff that's no longer made. A whole row of boxes of Toyo built track frames...

I just bought a Nitto Campee 32r from Ben’s Cycle for my 55 Platypus when none of the usual places I shop at (Riv, Crust, Analog, SomaFab, Bluelug) had one

Just when you thought you’d see it all.

This sounds like party time!

What fun would it be to back up the truck and dig into all that treasured metal work. I’m afraid I’d do some real wallet damage and grab a bunch of stuff that I may or may not need.

And need is the correct term, let there be no mistake.

Yes! Ben’s has always carried a lot of Nitto stuff. Always worth checking their web site for anything Nitto. I snagged their last few narrow Noodle bars when I decided to go that route, and nobody else had them.

Note that their web site (benscycle.com) is where you will find new stuff. Their eBay store is where they sell old/NOS stuff.

Also, don’t confuse Milwaukee Ben’s Cycle with benscycles-denver.com,  a great source for refurbished goodies.

Some of those prices ....are...eye-watering. If you have to have it...but there certainly is lots of neat stuff

Patrick Moore....how about a nice white 1990's Selle Italia Flite saddle w. titanium rails if/when you win the power ball lottery? OK, maybe 239.99 USD isn't totally out-of-line

Yeah, I should have mentioned … Vince is an astute businessman and he knows where the market is. He didn’t say this, but my speculation is that when things stop moving he will lower prices. For now, though, it sounds like a lot of stuff is moving even at those prices.

Here’s a 26.8 seat post for you :-)
It will be interesting to see the price, when they put it on the site, for the Sugino Might Tour 2-bolt 26.8 seat post that was OEM on my 1979 Fuji America.

OK...I have  to say, the  149.00 USD price for a 150g tub of Campy lubricant did give me a laugh. If I use it as facial lotion will my face morph from from 73 years old to that of a 21 year-old?....although within current beauty industry business model, maybe it's a bargain :)

We had a good chuckle over that with the guys at Ben’s, who noted that it’s actually terrible grease and leaves stains everywhere, including bike paint.

Huh! Last month I was fortunate to be offered a NIB original issue Flite for $45 shipped. Properly black, too.

Still, I love Flites so much that, if I had to pay ~$250 for a new one in the absence of any cheaper one, I'd probably do that -- reluctantly.

Here’s what I would say is a reasonably priced, straight up (no setback) 26.8 Campagnolo Record seatpost. I’d buy it if I needed a post in that size.
