Anyone built their VO Camargue into a riv-inspired swept back build?

I've got the 50cm model and used to have it built as a drop bar gravel build with 26x2.5 , but now looking to change it up to something more relaxed and upright .... thinking of going riv direction with a longer stem, and a Bosco bar, but wondering if such a build will work with this geo. Anyone tried something similar before?

In the back of my head I remembered seeing a Camargue on Eric's blog and it looks like he had Soma Oxford bars on it:

He might be able to chime in with more for you.

(I have a bike with Oxfords and another with Albatross and the two are so similar as to feel virtually the same to me.)

If that bike fit well with drops then you may need something like a 120mm stem with the Bosco's.

Here’s a 47cm when it was built with VO Belleville bars and inverse levers.  Original build was with drops but was not as well received so we switched to the Belleville shown.  It has since been moved to a threadless bullmoose bar, v brakes, and wider semi slick tires so more off-road oriented and basket less vs. the townie build pictured but seems I haven’t photographed its current state yet.

Is your red one a prototype or get a custom fork and repaint? I notice the different (Pacenti?) fork crown on your 50cm.

Yeah, I had a 130mm stem on the VO with the Oxford. The Bosco comes back even more, so it would need something even longer.

I am not one for specifics but I think the biggest issue with a low trail bike like this would be that moving rider weight back might affect handling negatively. 

I have been curious about using swept back bars on my Soma Grand Randonneur as well.

Unless I'm inputting the numbers incorrectly, this is not a low trail bike.

Swept back bars sound fun on this already relaxed, comfy bike. Rat Trap Pass tires would be sublime, maybe even room for fenders... Bosco's are not my personal jam and the stem may look funny but if it feels good, then hell yeah!
