I have been putting this off for years. So today, I screwed up my courage, got out my $10 Harbor Freight tubing bender, an attacked the lower legs of the front rack. I stole the front and rear racks off of my Trek Bellville before I gave it away. The blue does not match the MMM exactly, but it is close enough. Without modification, the lower legs hit the brakes and the rack sat too high above the fender. The entire Bellville including the racks was powder coated by Trek, and the coating survived the bending more or less intact. Now I have no excuse for not completing the build. 8 speed Nexus IGH and integrated shifter/brake lever. The front rack includes tubes for routing the wires to and from the headlight mounted on the rack stay.
