FOR SALE:

Selling my lightly used Rivendell SimpleOne. I purchased this frameset from Rivendell (with BB and headset) and built it up as a “multi-geared-single-speed”. It has a 20/22-tooth White Industries Dos Eno dual freewheel in the rear, and Shimano 600 crankset with dual chainrings (38/42-tooth). The SimpleOne has angled rear slide dropouts designed to allow for multiple wheel positions without the need to adjust the brake pads. The result: You have 4 separate gear ratio configurations to choose from, one at a time (of course).

Overall condition is very good; only slightly worn-in. There are a few minor nicks & wear marks where the green paint has worn down to underlying primer; NO bare metal or rust; Honestly I’d call these “beausage” marks. It’s a beautiful green and cream color combo. I’ve loved riding this bike, but am seriously downsizing the stable, and I really haven’t ridden this very much. The gearing combo gives you several options for different terrain/riding style.

Handlebar: VO Grand Cru Ranndonneur bars 44cm wide

Brakes: Tektro canti brakes w/SunTour Superbe levers.

Front Dynamo Hub: Shimano DH-3N72 6v 3w 36h

Rear hub: Origin8 36h flip flop fixie/freewheel w/White Industries Dos Uno 20/22t freewheel and 17t fixed cog

Rims: Alex DM18 700c eyeletted rims w/straight gauge stainless spokes

Tires: Schwalbe Century 700c x 35c green whitewalls (great for on/off road)

Crank: Shimano 600 175mm with 42/38t chainrings

Saddle: Brooks B17 Narrow (like new, still needs breaking in)

B&M Eyc LED front light (included, not installed)

B&M 4D-lite plus w/standlight (included, not installed)

Price is $1200. If you know this bike, you know it rides like a dream. This is ready to go, for day or night riding.

Pick up in Lambertville NJ / New Hope PA area; will drive up to 2 hours to meet; potential option to deliver in New England area. Strongly prefer to NOT ship.
